Setsubun events at Yasaka Jinja (Shrine). The day is traditionally considered the last day of winter. People come here to get beans from Maiko, Geiko/Geisha, that are used on the following day (February 3rd) to cast out the bad and wish for the good to come to them. The bad is manifested as a DEMON or ONI in Japanese.
